Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technology Architect – Healthcare EDI with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise EDI integrations, preferably within the healthcare payer domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support EDI integrations using Microsoft Azure services.
• Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Integration Accounts.
• Design and develop applications and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Work with EDIFECS for EDI processing, mapping, transformation, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and support HIPAA EDI transactions, including:
  • 278 – Healthcare Services Review
  • 834 – Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance
  • 837 – Healthcare Claims
  • 270/271 – Eligibility Inquiry and Response
• Handle EDI mapping, transformation, validation, and error management.
• Configure and manage Trading Partner Agreements (TPAs).
• Implement and support communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTP, and
• Monitor EDI workflows and proactively troubleshoot failures, performance issues, and integration errors.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and other technology groups to deliver reliable integration solutions.
• Ensure integration solutions follow security, compliance, scalability, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with EDIFECS.
• Strong Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Azure Integration Services.
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Integration Accounts.
• Strong knowledge of EDI architecture, mapping, transformation, and validation.
• Experience with HIPAA healthcare EDI transactions.
• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business, QA, infrastructure, and technology teams.
